“Izu Shaboten Park” which opened in Ito city in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1959 was originally a facility like a botanical garden where you can see unusual cactus in Japan. However, as the number of animals has increased now, it was renamed “Izu Shaboten Zoo” in 2016 and became more popular.
Here you can see about 1500 kinds of cactus and succulent plants all over the world. There are also very rare cactus in there, and there are plenty of places to see. Also, animals are also increasing year by year, especially capybara, shoebill, squirrel monkeys are very popular.
Also, it is said that “Izu Shaboten Zoo” became popular in Japan as it became a topic that Capybara was the hot spring in Japan for the first time.
