NOTE - TIMESTAMPS ARE BELOW THIS I add AOVs throughout the video, not just a few at the start. There are many passes (AOVs) we "could" include but it depends on what your needs are for your shot. Primary AOVs to build a shot in comp would be the diffuse, specular & shads. *** TIMESTAMPS BELOW.
1:40 - Deciding what to separate in renders
2:45 - Selecting AOV render passes for rendering
3:00 - A note about adding depth of field to a scene
5:20 - Denoiser before and after example.
6:10 - Selecting AOV render passes continued
7:20 - Test render with AOVs added
10:20 - Creating light groups (separating lights for render passes)
15:10 - Fixing the light group render error "Two drivers produced the same output path ect.."
19:20 - Changing object settings on mass (turning off primary visbility on multiple objects)
21:08 - Displaying and hiding image planes within cameras
21:52 - Creating our first render layer
23:30 - Addressing lighting issue with new render layer (render layer lighting looks different!)
25:09 - Adding shadow objects to your render layer (creating a collection for hidden objects)
28:25 - Creating an overide for lights on a render layer (adding or removing lights)
29:25 - Checking for any missing or unsual reflections in our render layer
30:45 - Creating a second render layer
36:55 - Turning on a light for our second render layer
41:00 - Creating a third render layer (background assets)
43:35 - Checking the render layer and removing an unessisary object
47:30 - Selecting further AOV's (render passes)
48:30 - Creating an ambient occlusion render pass
50:00 - Creating a shader overide for your render layer (ambient occlusion shader is added)
53:50 - Creating a render layer for ID's (rendering flat colours of our objects for comp)
1:00:25 - Assigning a material overide to collections in render layers
1:03:00 - Turning off AOV's (render passes) for render layers
1:05:40 - Overiding render settings for separate render layers
1:06:45 - Rendering your sequence

NOTE - If you want a single exr sequence for each render layer you can enable this (before you render) in your render settings tab by turning on "merge AOV's". In nuke you can then use a shuffle node to find the embedded AOVs
