Onion confit
With the holidays fast approaching, I'm sharing my recipe for onion confit, which goes well with terrines, pâtés, foie gras canapés, and even cheese platters.
A simple yet delicious recipe, this condiment will become a holiday essential. Once packaged in a beautiful little jar, it makes a great gift (make a basket with Chef Gilles Sensei's other marinade and jam recipes).
Ingredients
4 onions
60 ml oil
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup sugar
60 ml balsamic vinegar
