Situated at the west entrance to Glacier National Park in West Glacier, Montana, we provide travelers with the experience of a lifetime in our restored lodge rooms and cottages. Elegantly casual Montana fare and fine wine are found in our famed restaurant, the Belton Grill Dining Room and Tap Room. Here, guests are delighted with live performances by local and regional artists and musicians.

Many years ago, back in a different lifetime, I planned an event at the Belton with rooms there for my guests, a room for a massage therapist to treat me and some girlfriends to a therapy day. It ended up that we had to evacuate due to a wildfire, and I never did get my Belton weekend. I remember the staff there very fondly though, and they were prompt with a full refund, even though no reason for the cancel was their fault.
Fast forward a decade, and I came back to have dinner at this lovely old lodge with my parents. it just so happened to be the last night of their regular season, so there were exactly three things on the menu: shrimp fettucini, beef tips in gravy with broccolini, and bacon wrapped meatloaf. Between the three of us, we tried it all, and it was all good. Not culinary genius delicious, but like mom took a page out of Ina Garten's book and added some gourmet to the comfort food you loved as a kid.
Our server was pretty and pleasant, while doing her job efficiently, and ~ better still ~ she laughed at my jokes, which made her stock go up as far as I'm concerned.
Bookended by a cold martini and a cinnamon creme brulee, the Belton dining experience was lovely, and I can't wait to go back.
