This unique creation was the brainchild of fellow Jedi, Var-Whill. The Farkiller was no ordinary weapon; it was a sniper rifle powered with lightsaber technology. Its magnification attenuator enabled its wielder to strike targets from an astounding distance of a hundred kilometers. However, such a marvel of craftsmanship and power was bound to draw attention - and controversy. The Farkiller’s very existence was enough to cause a stir within the Jedi Order. The weapon was viewed with suspicion and disapproval, leading the Jedi Council to expel its creators from the Order. The Farkiller found a resting place in a Slinani Migration Shrine in the remote reaches of the Outer Rim Territories, until rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Aphra stole the weapon and placed it for sale on the Shadow Market.
