Time for another speed challenge! See how I managed to set up 8000 KAPLA planks in just ONE day!
I was invited by one of my professors at college to make a Kapla project for the annual technical conference. Sounds great, right? Well, I only had one day to build it, as the venue wasn’t available on all the other days. So after some small-scale testing, I brought my Kapla planks over and got to work.
The building techniques were pretty standard on purpose—just a system of bridges and force multipliers and little to no dominoes. It needed to be simple so I could finish it on time. Even then it was close. My brother stepped in to help with the last 1000 planks (unfortunately after my camera died) and we finished it after just under 10 hours of work. At times I was building at a rate I’ve never built at before, sometimes well over 1000 planks per hour. Thankfully it was enough to complete the 8000-piece contraption.
Unfortunately I’m more than a year late with this video, and this actually occurred in last year’s conference. But it’s better late than never. I’ve since done a couple other projects at the same place and I definitely won’t be waiting much longer to post those as well (before the end of 2024). Lots to look forward to, and thank you for your support for this channel!
