On October 18, the Pokrovskie Vorota Cultural Center hosted the presentation of Irina Yazykova's new book, "Beauty Through the Ages: Essays on Christian Art."
The book reveals that throughout history, people have sought and found beauty, though they have expressed it in different ways.
At the same time, the fates of artists have been quite dramatic, and their contemporaries have not always understood them.
But from the cave paintings of Altamira to the 20th-century avant-garde and our own time, we hear this eternal call of beauty through the works of artists.
