You want to make videos – but you’d rather not show your face on screen. Good news: even then you can use video for your business. There is more than enough to show. Today I’ll show you 3 ways to make a video without your face on camera and the 3rd one is really fun, so keep watching because you'll definitely come up with great new ideas.

Maybe you are 1 of those people who hate to get in front of a camera yourself. That doesn't mean you should drop video. It is just an invitation for you to be a little bit more creative. So today I'll give you 3 ways to make a video without being in the picture yourself.

The first is this: instead of focusing on your face, let your camera focus on your hands. In this style you see unboxing videos but also painting, crafting, building things, you’d have to be doing something interesting, and we should be able to see it clearly.

Do check what works best: do you put the camera in front of you, or do you have it looking over your shoulder?

The second: a #screenrecording Easy to do and good for when you want to show how an app works, or show what you're making, or your powerpoint presentation, anything that happens on your computer screen can be recorded. If you use Google Chrome, Loom is a handy app. With the free version, you can film what is happening on your screen for up to 5 minutes at a time. Turn off your camera if you really don't want to be in the picture, or choose to be in a tiny image in the screen. Loom lets you choose whether you want to show your whole screen or 1 app, and it also records sound, so you can talk your viewer through whatever you are showing.

And then the third, this one is also free and it gives you the chance to show lots of beautiful images, with text in the image and you can make an astonishingly beautiful video if you want.

If you've decided what you want to tell and show, go to #Canva.com in #Google #Chrome. Note: What I want to show you only works in #GoogleChrome. You can do this with a paid or free account with Canva. Once logged in, create a presentation for a horizontal video, of a different size for a vertical video. You can choose from all sorts of fun designs, but you can also use photos, videos and text, which you can also make move. I quickly create an example.

Now I have a presentation of 8 slides, some with text in pictures, some with pictures and some with video. But this is not all: you're also going to add your own voice to it. But maybe add some music first? Even with a free account, you can have some choice in music. Once you have chosen your music, drag it into your design and immediately go to the volume slider and turn that music way down, around 10%. You can also choose to not use any music of course.
Next, go to sharing and scroll down to more and then to playback and recording.

Go to the recording studio, give permission to use your microphone and possibly your camera, just like in Loom, and start narrating your presentation. You have to click through your presentation yourself.

You won't hear the music in the recording, but the music wíll be in your video, so keep that in mind. Just tell your story and when you are done, stop the recording, and you can download it. You’ve just made a video! If you watch the video, you'll see a complete experience with images and sound.

Not really difficult, fun to do, and you make a video without showing your own face. If you use video for your business, you really have to be seen occasionally, but it really doesn't have to be in everuy video.

Which of these 3 ways to make a video without being on screen will you try out? Let me know in the comments and don't forget to watch this video in which I show you what you should never skip when you are on screen.
