Do your advertisements fail?
One of my favorite advertisements fails is an ad for boneless bananas.
Another of my favorites, for an addiction recovery center, says, “Living with addition? You have the power to change your life today.”
If your company has an advertising fail, you’re not alone. You may remember Pepsi’s well-publicized commercial featuring Kendall Jenner that trivialized the protests following the murder of George Floyd. Other huge corporations have authorized equally inappropriate ads and commercials.
Pepsi, however, weathered the fallout from that commercial. Because your smaller business can’t afford to throw away its money and risk its reputation. You need to pay particular attention to the quality of your advertising.
