Located in Jardim Paulista, São Paulo, the Therezinha Building was chosen by Anita (@anitastramucci) as her new home. Built in the 1970s, the building boasts a modern-style facade with rationalist influences, notable for its large windows and doors that allow ample natural light. André Braz's (@andrebraz.arq) involvement in the property selection process was crucial, as layout studies were conducted during the purchase negotiations to ensure the apartment would meet the new resident's needs.

With an area of 134m², the original apartment consisted of two suites, a bedroom, a powder room, a living room with a balcony, and a kitchen integrated into the laundry room. Anita's (@anitastramucci) desire was to integrate the entire living area and create a spacious and cozy suite. The renovation project was developed by André Braz (@andrebraz.arq) to promote tranquility and harmony between the spaces, resulting in a visual permeability throughout the property.

The renovation included integrating the balcony with the other spaces, adapting the TV room and office into a guest bedroom, restoring the original windows, and creating a private area with a bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom. In the living area, the former bedroom was incorporated into the living room, with a flexible layout that can be closed off with a freijó slatted panel. The kitchen added a countertop for quick meals.

The project's unifying element was a curved bench that runs through the living area and bedroom, created to solve an inverted beam that hindered the integration of the spaces. Anita (@anitastramucci) actively participated in every step, opting for natural materials such as wood, cement, and ceramic, which brought warmth and visual comfort to the spaces. The decor is a mix of contemporary and classic pieces, complemented by greenery and Brazilian and Argentine artwork.

About Casa de Valentina 😉

Hi, my name is Lucila Zahran Turqueto and I'm responsible for Casa de Valentina! The project began as a blog in 2008, the fruit of my passion for decorating spaces while I was building my first home.

Over time and with a lot of dedication, Casa de Valentina grew, took shape, and matured. I received invitations to write articles for major magazines in the field, appeared on the cover of a magazine, and we earned the title of the most influential design and décor blog in Latin America.

Here on YouTube, you'll find a select selection of architectural projects, featuring excellent decoration and interior design solutions. A space for us to share inspiration and good taste!
