Today's Open House apartment is the home of architect Alexandre Dal Fabbro (@alexandredalfabbro.arq). The carefully renovated property was designed to be a soft and fluid space, with light colors and natural lighting that harmonizes with the landscaping on the balcony.
The architect sought to create a timeless and comfortable environment, unlike his previous apartment, where dark woods predominated.
The rooms include a kitchen, balcony, two guest bedrooms, bathrooms, master bedroom, walk-in closet, master bathroom, and powder room. The balcony is a special highlight, representing a breath of fresh air within the apartment and a fundamental part of the project's concept.
The plants, conceived in partnership with Bia Abreu (@biaabreu_paisagismo), are arranged in ceramic pots painted in lead gray and suspended metal boxes, bringing nature indoors.
The woodwork plays a central role in the design, dressing the spaces and making the environment visually complete without relying on immediate works of art. The architectural solutions were carefully designed to allow for the gradual addition of decorative pieces, such as paintings, over time, without the apartment seeming incomplete.
Another highlight is the indirect lighting, present in various rooms, such as the living room and niches, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
The kitchen, for example, can be integrated into the living room through a mirrored sliding door, transforming it into a social space. The cabinetry conceals appliances such as the refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.
One of the main structural elements is the exposed pillars, which were previously hidden within the walls but were highlighted during the renovation. The powder room, in turn, was designed to be dramatic, with wood paneling and indirect lighting around the mirror.

About Casa de Valentina 😉
Hi, me My name is Lucila Zahran Turqueto and I'm the person behind Casa de Valentina! The project started as a blog in 2008, born from my passion for decorating spaces, when I was furnishing my first home.
With time and a lot of dedication, Casa de Valentina grew, took shape, and matured. I received invitations to write articles for the main magazines in the sector, I was on a magazine cover, and we earned the title of the most influential design and décor blog in Latin America.
Here on YouTube, you'll find a curated selection of architectural projects, with great decoration and interior design solutions. A space for us to share inspiration and good taste!
