23. Clarinet Solo by Guy Shahar (October 2025)
My first ever solo piece - I finally gave in to the pressure and had a go at a solo piece - for clarinet. I don't think it's my greatest achievement, but a composer friend of mine who effortlessly creates solos tells me it's his favourite of all my pieces...
I even created my own scale for it (which I now find out is F Gacrian with a raised 6th, though I had no idea about that) which gives it a bit of a bluesy feel in places.
