There is a huge supply of homes on the mls that are just sitting there. Not much sales activity. Home sales are down but active listings are up. Each city in Halton is in a buyer's market right now. Home sellers have to price their homes according to today's prices but the spring real estate market of 2023 is not coming back.
Oakville is suffering the most with over 5 months of inventory and other cities like Burlington and Milton are around 4 months of inventory.
So home buyers now have the upper hand.
