Here's some footage of a deer i shot at 994 yards with my factory Rem Model 7 in 7mm SAUM on a recent hunting trip. The ammo I'm using is my own handloads with 162gr Amax projectiles in front of RE26 powder, with a velocity of 3,050 fps.
I dialed 22.25 MOA for elevation correction (which is the equivalent of aiming 19.35 feet above where I wanted to hit) and dialed right 2.5 MOA for wind from right to left (equivalent of holding 25.8 inches to the right of my intended point of impact).
The deer was recovered whole and processed for the table.
