Zero2Sixty: Video Production Tips
This episode covers - a video tutorial demonstrating how to shoot and transcode slow motion video with a DSLR camera.
7 Steps to Transcode Your Slow-Motion Video
After shooting your video, the next phase—the transcoding—will begin. This is basically where all the magic happens and where short walks are turned into mile-long walkathons. Here are the steps for transcoding your slow motion video:
1. Send your video to your computer or Mac.
2. Open your editing program. For Web Video Crew, the program of choice for slow-motion videos is Cinema Tools. However, there are other tools you can use and ways to convert frame rates. It will be up to you to decide which program best suits your purpose.
3. Open the video clip you wish to transcode.
4. Click on Conform.
5. Choose your desired FPS output (20fps is recommended).
6. Save your video.
7. Your slow-motion clip is ready for use and viewing!
