Ep 031 - Making Artificial Star with Aluminium Foil and Fixing my Orion Short Tube 80 Guide scope
How to make an Artificial Star using a $2 LED torch and some Aluminium foil.
I needed to do this in order to try and test my guide scope, the Orion Short Tube 80mm) as it was producing cone shaped stars.
I was able to improve this a little, to make them a little more circular, but will require further adjustment in the future to perfect it. For now, the fix has improved the image significantly, making the guiding easier because of better shaped stars for PHD2 to lock on to.
