👽 Rotoscoping & Helmet Challenge VFX: ALIEN TRANSFORMATION 👽 #7
In this seventh episode of my VFX Compositing Series, I tackle a complex rotoscoping challenge where I had to work on both the helmet and the alien transformation of the character's face. This practice, part of my master's course in VFX, involved carefully masking both the top and bottom of the helmet, while also transforming the girl’s face into something more otherworldly.
The most difficult part of this project was ensuring that the girl's movement remained consistent while the transformation and rotoscoping were being applied. I also focused on creating a realistic alien look, adjusting the facial features to give her a more extraterrestrial appearance while maintaining a natural motion throughout the scene.
