Apricot & Walnut Pie - Botlikh Pie
This lovely pie has three layers of tender shortrcust pastry with one layer each of finely chopped/ground walnuts and apricot paste/puree. It originates from the Botlikh people in Dagestan. The combination of flavours is wonderful in this simply perfect pie.
