18.5 hour paint time in. Thraka Green wash over the whole skin, then beginning to define detail with Catachan Green, then a wash of Devlan Mud which will help ensure the olive swampy look I'm going for. Next will be several layers for the muscle detail in repeated paint and wash steps so I won't update until I start a lighter green shade because the subtle differences won't come through well on video. Don't want to bore anyone.
I'm usually taking video outside for better light and to help me see the reality of the piece. If I had decent light I could UStream painting this live rather than YouTube it in snippits. Oh well. I live in an 80 year old home now with original cloth-covered wiring. It's not like I can just buy more light fixtures since outlets are severely limited and...scary. It's a fixer-upper with a lot of land on the river so I'll bite my tongue and deal with painting in low light. At least I don't have to break out the candles.
