First TV Commercials of 1979 📼 Retro Collection
Funny how I used to videotape television while never letting go of the remote so I could pause around the commercials and keep only the show, and now I watch collections that are ENTIRELY those old TV commercials. These ads are from the last night of 1978 just before the world welcomed 1979. It was New Year's Eve on a Los Angeles television station.

At around the 2:30 mark is a commercial for Body on Tap Shampoo (a "beer-enriched shampoo"!) starring a then unknown Kim Basinger. There are also multiple versions of the "I'm a Pepper" Dr. Pepper theme song sung and danced by David Naughton.
