First TV Commercials of 1990 📼 Retro Collection
Funny how I used to videotape television while never letting go of the remote so I could pause around the commercials and keep only the show, and now I watch collections that are entirely those old TV commercials. These ads are from the last night of 1989 just before the world welcomed 1990. It was New Year's Eve on a North Carolina television channel.

At the top is the sexy and possibly gay-themed Dr. Pepper poolhall commercial featuring a young Sam Rockwell (#samrockwell); this is the rock music version, not the jazzy version available elsewhere on YouTube. In 1990, we would have gladly claimed this ad as much-needed LGBT representation along the same lines as the volleyball game in "Top Gun."
