The legendary Big Bear has been spotted in Wildwood Grove! Will you join the search party? We'll pile into a specially outfitted Jeep and trek into the Smoky Mountains to capture the elusive beast on camera.
Opening in May 2023, Big Bear Mountain is the newest, longest coaster at @DollywoodParksAndResorts . The hunter-orange track swoops and swerves across 6 acres. The trains are propelled using magnets rather than the usual steep drops. Among the surprises awaiting riders is a maglev launch strip that can't easily be seen outside the ride.
We visited Dollywood in Oct. 2023 during the wonderful Fall Festival and Halloween LumiNights. Autumn colors were at their peak, and the weather was weirdly 20 degrees warmer than normal, in the high 70s.
