[] I have not practised most of these OG flare types. I think in theory, because each type dictates a different convenient point for accenting, you can make at least 10 of them sound distinctly.
[] This OG flare theory has been helpful not only with vocal cuts but with understanding badly/briefly explained combos in online tutorials in which people say "the next part is an OG flare" and then proceed to do numerous different things.
[] One of the several options to do what is known as "ultrapitch cuts" is to do EXACTLY the same stuff I'm showing here but with a beat twice as slow as the phrase (e.g. beat is 66.5 and a 133.3bpm skipless record is used at 0% pitch). Same fader work, same record movements, but you end up doing 32nd instead of 16th notes. Or if you just use a 133bpm beat, you're again doing 16th notes.
