iPhone Battery Health setting shows Unknown Part & NO %. Coconut battery app or Analytics to get BH
I have an aftermarket iphone battery replacement on my iphone xs max.
When I check the battery health in battery settings, it shows as Unknown Part.
Also it shows NO percentage.
I'd like to know the battery health.
Way #1: Use coconut battery app to check the battery health from a mac computer. EASY
Way #2: You can get the last MAH battery capacity reading using settings iphone analytics. It's found under Settings, Privacy & Security, Iphone Analytics & Improvement.
You must turn on Share iphone analytics and wait for a day. There will be a file where you can look up under Analytics Data:
Analytics -Year-MM-DD-time.ips.ca....
Look for
last_value_AppleRawMaxCapacity: (this gives your mah battery capacity)
last_value_CycleCount: The number of times your phone has been fully charged since battery replacement
last_value_NominalChargeCapacity: Gives you Mah capacity which might be used for calculating the battery health (divided by design MAH)
That's it... I wish for aftermarket parts.. apple would still try to check the battery health for us!
