Riar's works mainly focus on the relationship between motion images, body, lights, spatial presentation, sound structure, primitive technology, and their intervention with the performance ecology, and installation settings. He has developed a practice of post-disciplinarity in which he collaborates and builds his works beyond the art disciplines and institutions.
Riar is also a co-founder of Salon, which is a platform in Bandung that focuses on exploration and experimentation in the field of performance, experimental music, and improvisation.
