STUDIORAMA Sessions: Heals x Ramaputratantra - Lunar
Heals have decided to invite a Bandung-based emerging artist named Ramaputratantra as their collaborator for one of this year’s STUDIORAMA Sessions.
Both parties agreed that a collaboration has conjoined two different ideas into one new complete thing. Heals wrote the song "Lunar" about a woman, while Ramaputratantra interpreted it as something that's connected to the moon, reflection, and colors; and the different ideas gave birth to a new audiovisual experience.
Ramaputratantra uses jumbo mirror to visualize his thoughts on the "reflection" side of the song. Moreover, the blue and red lighting that's dominating the packed studio room is fitting to accompany layers and layers of guitar distortion.
Melodic, heavy, agressive, and also mysterious. This STUDIORAMA Sessions exhibits the aesthetics of nu-gaze with such precision, and even gives it a new meaning.
