Welcome to chipnut coding club.
We need a software for our coding club. We have chosen scratch. So in this video we will show you how to download and install scratch.
Open the browser.
Type scratch.mit.edu/download or click on the link given in the video description.
You can see this page, download the scratch app page now.
As you can see here, choose the os (operating system) .
Our device has windows operating system. So we have chosen windows.
Then click on the direct download as shown.
Based on the setting in your browser it may ask you to save the downloaded file. In our system it gets stored in c drive - chipnut - coding folder.
Click on save.
The downloading started. You can see it on the bottom left corner of your computer/laptop. We have highlighted here.
Download is complete now.
To install the software, click on the downloaded file and then click install button.
Scratch is installing now.
Once the installation is completed, this window appears.
Note that you have selected Run Scratch Desktop as shown here. Then click on the finish button.
In your desktop, now you will be able to see the scratch. Click on that to open. Window like this appears. You are ready to start coding now! . In the next video we will explain about the different components or parts you see in this window.
