When you need to go, using an available toilet or privy should always be your first option.
If you are in a remote area, follow these steps:
1. Find a location 200 feet away from the trail, water sources, and camp. 🗺️
2. Deposit solid human waste in catholes dug 6-8 inches deep. 💩
3. Cover and disguise the cathole when finished. 🍃
4. Pack the toilet paper out along with hygiene products or bury toilet paper deep in the cathole. 🚯
