Super bloom etiquette and Leave No Trace
We could experience another super bloom, and for those planning a visit to witness the majestic wildflowers, it is important to know some basic etiquette. Following basic bloom etiquette is important to ensure the continued preservation of these flowers in our shared lands.
🥾 Walk on durable surfaces, such as established trails, rock, and gravel. Walk in the middle of the trail, even when wet or muddy. Avoid trampling vegetation and wildflowers.
🚽 Use restroom facilities where they are available. If none exist, be prepared to properly dispose of human waste by bringing a trowel to dig a cathole 6-8” deep and 200 feet away from water sources and trails.
🌼 Don't pick the flowers! Flowers hold the seeds for next year’s wildflowers, and bees rely on them for pollination.
🌸 Remember, we’re all trying to enjoy a finite resource. Do your part to protect the flowers and the overall experience.
