Public Transport in Berlin
As one of the world’s great cities, Berlin has a world class public transport network consisting of the U-Bahn and S-Bahn along with buses, trams, and regional train services. Unlike most other cities, however, Berlin’s network still bears the scars of war and division, most notably with the oldest rolling stock, delivered prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the tram network’s mostly eastern coverage as West Berlin removed their trams in the 1960s.
