Whole Numbers Divided By Fractions Visuals
Whole numbers divided by fractions are an easy concept if you understand the steps of the visuals. REMEMBER, when dividing fractions, your answer will actually be larger than the dividend (your first number)
These are the steps:
1.Draw a rectangle for your wholes
2.Break them all up by your denominator
3. Shade in the numerator as many times as you can AND circle and count the group each time
4. Count the circled groups..thats your whole number
5. Your left over is your new numerator
6. Your original numerator is now your new denominator
