The Lotus or Lotus Blossom Qiqong is a continuous flowing Qigong which aims to help relaxation and improve general health and wellbeing. This version repeats the routine three times and includes captions and voice over.
As in all qigong, breathing is coordinated with the movements, with the body gently rising when breathing in, and sinking when breathing out.
There are some variations in the descriptions of the movements, but the most common ones are listed below:
Preparation
The Sun rises through the clouds
Turtle treads water
Snow Rabbit digs the Earth... pushes from its burrow and sniffs for spring
Fair Maiden scoops water and spreads it over the garden
Lotus buds form... and blossom to greet the day
Turn to face the wind - right and left
Lift the sky...and press the Earth
Scoop water from the sea
White Crane spreads it's wings - right and left
Snow Rabbit digs the Earth... pushes from its burrow and sniffs for spring
Raise the arms through the clouds
Bid farewell to the setting sun
