Preparedness and Response to COVID 19 and its Impact
One Health Bangladesh, a multidisciplinary platform dealing with the health threats at the human-animal and environmental interface in Bangladesh, is going to organize a series of the webinar in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The set of the webinar will be organized in partnership with Global Health Development (GHD)
COVID‑19 is a new disease, spreads rapidly, and outbreaks can grow at an exponential rate. At present, there are no therapeutics or vaccines proven to treat or prevent COVID‑19, although national governments, WHO and partners are working urgently to coordinate the rapid development of medical countermeasures. Preparedness and response based on the magnitude of the disease are crucial to protect the public health crisis. The first webinar is focused on sharing the experience of preparedness and response to COVID-19 in Bangladesh and the global context.
Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Director, IEDCR, and Dr. Mohannad Al Nosur, Executive Director, Global Health Development, will present their experience of dealing with the current crisis. The webinar will be facilitated by Prof Nitish C Debnath, Coordinator, One Health Bangladesh
