One Health Bangladesh, a multidisciplinary platform dealing with health threats at the human-animal - environmental interface, has been organizing a series of webinars in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The set of webinars is being organized in partnership with Global Health Development (GHD).

Introducing Key Speakers
Prof. Dirk PFEIFFER, Chair of One Health and Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health, Director (OHRP), Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice, The City University of Hong Kong.

Professor Mushtaque CHOWDHURY, Advisor and Founding Dean of the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, and a member of the Management Advisory Group for the Director-General of the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), Rome.

The webinar will be moderated by Prof Nitish Debnath, National Coordinator, One Health Bangladesh.

The COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to spread across the world and claim life. South Asian countries, including Bangladesh, are facing tremendous challenges to tackle health threats. In many ways, the COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be a moving target. One Health approach recognizes the interconnectedness of human-animal in a complex ecosystem. It promotes the multidisciplinary and multisectoral coordination at the local, national, regional, and global level to tackle pandemic like COVID-19.
