Setting up my chromecast. Why do I need another app Device Utility app to setup the google home app?
In this video, I tried setting up my old chromecast using my pixel 3a phone with google home app.
Surprisingly, I was getting an error "device needs to be activated before setup"
The solution as provided by google? Install another app "Device Utility App" Crazy huh?
Why do I need 2 different apps to setup a single device? Google get your head out of your behind.
I'm saying, I should only need one app to setup a device. Why do I need two apps to setup a single device.
Anyways,.. what was my solution?
I wasn't able to setup with my phone. Instead I just tried it with my ipad.. and the ipad setup the chromecast in one try.
