While the original LCDs for the CZ-1 came with an EL backlight, these tend to burn out, leaving you with a purely reflective display which, whilst mostly serviceable, isn't great in low light conditions. In this video we explore several options to rectify this issue, including a less than sensible but great looking one, a Vacuum Fluorescent Display.

This video was originally a low production side upload produced mostly in one long take with minimal editing. As such, it might feel a bit weird in places due to attempts to increase production value. PC hardware will surely return, but even when it does, I do think it's time we started venturing into other things around here. I refuse to jump on the Micro or Unix bandwagosn that everyone else seems to slowly be getting into, so instead, you'll probably be seeing more electronics oriented things showing up from time to time.

Feel free to not like it and complain, but these shouldn't get in the way of normal videos and, due to me being fed up of hardware problems for now, there was no 'normal' video to get in the way of any more. Plenty of other people document their repairs and such anyway, the only difference seems to be that my first video of this is with a synthesizer (which is basically a computer anyway, there always was a rather thin line between those) instead of a PC.
