The Five Stages of Gris
2018 was bookended by a title that released too late to make it onto any "Top 10" lists or win the awards it so very much deserved. But that doesn't mean it can't be acknowledged and appreciated by anyone less than a premier critic.
Gris is a game for everyone and anyone willing to sit down and give it a chance, one that leaves you better off for having played it. It'll be remembered for years to come as one of the blueprints for games that transcend their medium and become art alongside the likes of Ico, Journey, and Inside. And I firmly believe you owe it to yourself to experience it.
