Part 2 of the Crook County Outdoors Gaia GPS Tutorial. In Episode 2 we are going to show how to record a GPS Track and GPS Image Waypoint. Today we went fishing on a High Mountain Lake in Central Oregon, and we decided it would be a good time to show how to record a track on a GPS in an "unknown" hunting area. We all buy our first GPS with the idea of being able to place a waypoint at the Truck and be able to hike back to the Waypoint. With the Gaia GPS app, we can do even better. We can record GPS track. We show 2 separate ways to save image waypoints. We first mark a waypoint using an image, and the other method to save image waypoints is to add images to an existing waypoint. We also show the value in having the Gaia GPS app on your smartphone to record GPS tracks and being able to navigate back to your truck after a hard day of hunting.
