Welcome to Crook County Outdoors. In this video it is late August and the last day of second season Antelope in Oregon. My Dad drew a tag, and my 14 year old niece had a youth-mentor tag. This being the last day of the hunt, we were in a little bit of desperation mode.
The plan on this day was to drive from canyon to try an locate the herd and have my 14 year old nice experience the rush of long range antelope hunting. This girl has not stopped talking about the long-range antelope hunt. This buck was spotted all by itself at 1500 yards. After putting a mini stalk on and closing the distance, my father missed at 625 yards three times with his 300-win mag. Out of shells because he left them in the truck, it was time for this youth girl to take the long range antelope shot.
