Done as part of the SMMR of RWBY event.
Originally, the plan was just to do GMW as a complete rewrite, though due to the event's timetable, the songwriter sadly couldn't participate. Though still, the scope expanded to do all 3 parts. While it's based on my previous work, everything has been done from the ground-up - and I dare say, the difference is night and day, especially in the vocal programming.
While a complete rewrite didn't happen, I did rework the lyrics of RLR1 to be entirely personal to Ruby, in-keeping with the other parts. And together with Josef, we also redid the lyrics of the bridge in RLR2. Josef also reworked the most of RLR1 and the intro to GMW, with a especially lovely cello section in the latter.
Being a medley, it was important to be to have good transitions between all the parts. Going from RLR1 to 2 was easy, but from 2 to 3 took some doing. To make it happen, I decided to take a part from So Heavy, of the V9 score, with later in production deciding to swap the melody of which to the one from This'll Be the Day, as the original one was too much repetition immediately after RLR2.
Time spent working on the track: 114 hours. T_T
