What do Nectaron Hops taste like? - SMASH Beer Experiment
We add Nectaron hops to the SMASH beer files this week.
Nectaron is a New Zealand variety being offered by Yakima Valley Hops. It has a very strong fruit and herbal note to us. Mike described it as being green melon while John picked up some stone fruit character.
We wax on a little bit about the interplay between perceived sweetness and fruit flavors in hops as well.
This is a cool hop that could stand on its own as a SMASH beer and it would be an enjoyable beer.
