A quiet level crossing found within the village of Blakedown, and next to Blakedown Station just to the south west of Birmingham and West Midlands. With no footbridge or pedestrian underpass, this level crossing is the only way of connecting the two platforms of the station next to it. This level crossing is located on a busy route with frequent trains which runs between Birmingham and Worcester, and it has two alarms which each sound at a reasonable volume given the levels of environmental noise here, and both of these are located on the exit-sides of the level crossing. The signal box which used to control this level crossing has been preserved and is now located just behind one of the station's platforms. There is an even mix of stopping and non-stopping trains here during a typical off-peak, and during these sorts of times the station is served half-hourly in each direction.
