In this Interactive Remote Lab Outside The Box Labs will discuss and experiment with the SCIENCE OF FLIGHT!
How does flight happen anyway? What is lift and how does it work?
We will go over the basic concepts and then get you started thinking and experimenting by building a few different paper airplanes from different designs and seeing what makes the best flights. We will also experiment with air pressure and more!
Materials you will want to gather up before the remote lab begins:
1.) 2 paper or plastic cups
2.) Masking or cellophane tape
3.) Rubber bands (5-10)
4.) Paper (standard printer paper)
5.) One or more paperclips
6.) Scissors
FOR CHALLENGE EXPERIMENT AFTER STREAM:
1.) Empty cereal box (optional)
2.) Bamboo skewer (optional)
3.) Drinking straw (optional)
