Bernard Chevalier, violin. #15 presents difficulties that a student needs to make decisions about: Do you want to use the first position mostly requiring the unnatural extension of a perfect fifth? I chose to replace this dangerous, unusual stretch with a difficult yet not dangerous fifth bridge. I recommend to keep the little trills simple, either as turns or very quick short trills. Also as you'll note, I made a few bowing changes to facilitate sustaining the dynamics. My overall rating on this interesting etude is difficult with great attention to dynamics.
