IN all honesty, it's been a good 10 years since I've had to buy server space so in this video I run into some troubles. I've left some of the troubles in instead of just editing out thinking nothing ever goes wrong on my end, because things will go wrong. You just have to dig through it! In this video I go through and explain how we're going to spin up a server and the major differences between the different types of server space you can get out there in the wild. I explain what I think are some serious marketing pitfalls that some companies may do to trick into spending more money than you need to. Once we get our server space up and running, I show you how to SSH into it, I run into a problem I just learned about with passwords, and we create a couple regular users so we don't have to be the root user all of the time.
