Spec Maps WITHOUT PHOTOSHOP! - iRacing Specular Map Tutorial
Wanna paint cars on iRacing but don't have Photoshop or its weird layer blending modes? NO PROBLEM! There's a secret method to the madness when making specular maps outside the Adobe ecosystem, and in my opinion it's easier to understand than the Photoshop method!
You'll learn how to use the red, green and blue colour channels to create unique materials on the car, how to use GabirMotors' helpful specular mapping tool, and how to use specular mapping on the Mandatory and Car Decal layers to ensure consistency across the variety of parts around the racecar.
