How to stop enabling pickme’s who enable men….
Decentering women who center men can be harder than decentering men themselves. We enable women by pretending we are okay with men’s bad behavior or their awful jokes or their negging . I don’t want to be a safe space for women to complain about men they will never leave. I want men to experience consequences and sometimes that means letting the women who enable them also feel some of those. Bc by going alone with their toxic relationships too much, I’m co-signing the lies they tell themselves. My friends who called me out or set boundaries around how much they’re would listen to me complain did me a huge favor.
