Castlevania (DOS) Speedrun Whip Only
Hey vampire hunters! LoZCardsfan2223 here and in just my 2nd night back of Whip Only DOStlevania attempts, I achieved my goal of a sub 14:30 in this category!
First half of the game was excellent with perfect knight RNG on Stage 2 and was able to get the all important cave skip on Stage 4. The RNG on Frankenstein was mediocre at best, but it certainly was not terrible, either.
Axe Knight RNG on Stage 5 was not very good as I took two knockbacks, but the rest of that stage was great.
I secured the sub 14:30 by having an excellent Stage 6 with a four cycle Dracula and somehow managed to squeak in the eight cycle Cookie Monster at the last possible moment!
Overall, I only lost a second and half to heart RNG, which is pretty darn good!
Do I think this time can be improved? Absolutely, but I am extremely happy with this run and plan on going back to Any % to get the sub 13:20 in that category!
