Chili Bar @ 5000 CFS | South Fork American River Whitewater Kayak
Christmas 2021 we got the opportunity to run Chili Bar on the South Fork of the American River at higher flows, approximately 5000 CFS including side creeks. The waves were really big, a few were bigger than 8 feet!!! Run is rated Class 3+ at regular flows and at this flow it would probably be about the same since we didn't run Troublemaker or Doubletrouble. At higher flows, Doubletrouble is the correct line to take FYI.
