Upper Kyburz 1000 CFS | South Fork American River Whitewater Kayaking
Upper Kyburz is a classic, sought after Class IV+ section of the South Fork of the American River as it flows out of South Lake Tahoe, California. It has near continuous whitewater, huge boofs and many bigger rapids flow quickly into each other. Its roadside nature makes it great for laps!!! It is known for having many large pieces of wood that do move throughout the season so scouting is wise.
Put In: Indian Falls Rapid ( Class V ) (Cordell, Michelle, Dylan)
Take Out: The Wall Rapid ( Class IV ) (Robin, Doug)
